The Writers Place is pleased to announce our finalists for the full-length and teleplay/short competitions for May through October 2007. We do confess, this was an extremely difficult decision. There were so many finely rendered scripts in both categories. Selection of the winners and honorable mentions will be even more difficult. Finalist are, in no order of preference:

2. HARVARD FILM GROUP � INVITATION TO DEC 1st FILM PANEL
Harvardwood is pleased to present our first-ever "Independent Filmmaking Panel" in New York! The panel will include indie filmmakers and Harvard alums producer Maya Browne '92 (AMERICAN FORK w/ Billy Baldwin), writer-director Hans Canosa '93 (CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN w/ Aaron Eckhart and Helena Bonham Carter), writer-director-producer Adam Hootnick '97 (Slamdance-winner UNSETTLED), writer-director-producer Georgia Lee '98 (Tribeca Film Fest-winner RED DOORS), and screenwriter-novelist Gabrielle Zevin '00 (CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN, "Elsewhere", "Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac"). The panel will be moderated by writer-producer Paula Brancato MBA '82.
The panel will be held at the Tank (279 Church Street, between Franklin and White) on SAT, DEC. 1ST, from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Refreshments will be provided.
