TWP NOV ’09 – APR ’10 CONTEST WINNER LOGLINES

Full-Length

1^st Place: K.F.M. Marshall – Which Witch is Which – A dysfunctional family has to stop squabbling long enough to destroy a malevolent witch and her army of goblins.

2^nd Place: David Cobbins – This Missing Dead – A hard-boiled cop, determined to deliver her own brand of justice, loses the body of a key witness she murdered. The colossal mistake draws the ire of a shady politician, a career criminal, and a brash detective, all looking to make a name for them at her expense.

3^rd Place: Jacob Sloman – Privilege – A naïve, book-smart college freshman becomes entangled in the lives of two boys: one an honors student striving to get by, the other a mega-wealthy spoiled boy, playing at murderous criminal.

1^st Place: Tristam A. Thomas – Shooting People – LIFE, CAMERA, ACTION!

2^nd Place: Christopher Jarvis – Culling Hens – The uneducated wife of a ploughman becomes jealous of his attention to a mare.

3^rd Place: Barton W. Edson – If We Meet Again – A couple on the run from the law must part ways in order to elude a drug dealer out for revenge and a detective determined to solve a town’s murder case.

TWP MAY – OCT ‘10 SCREENPLAY CONTEST

The Writers Place (TWP) May – October 2010 screenplay competition is in full swing. Submit your best script. Works by single or multiple authors welcomed. Single or multiple entries welcomed. All genres accepted.

EARLY ENTRIES must be submitted not later than 31 October 2010. Final (late) deadline is 15 November 2010.

SUBMISSION FEES:

Single Full-Length Screenplay or MOW (not more than 130 pages): $55

Single ½ Hour Short or Teleplay (not more than 45 pages): $35

Two Full-Length Screenplays or MOWs: $85 (two script limit)

Two ½ Hour Shorts or Teleplays: $60 (two script limit)
